Warehouse has expanded their services to include barge-to-rail and barge-to-truck capabilities by partnering with Cincinnati Barge & Rail Terminals, Cincinnati's premier barge transloading facility. Cincinnati Barge & Rail Terminals controls over 3,000 feet of prime Ohio River frontage, a 12+ acre outdoor storage yard, private rail lines with indoor and outdoor unloading capabilities, a 20 ton shore-mounted crane, and an adjacent bulk conveyer system capable of transloading directly from the river into both rail cars or trucks. This partnership will allow Commonwealth Inc. Warehouse and Cincinnati Barge & Rail Terminals to service a wider range of customers in the bulk commodity industry. Commonwealth Inc. Warheouse has created a YouTube channel to highlight some of the services we offer our clients. Our first two videos show how we shrink wrapped Starbucks Frappuccino Variety Packs in our Oxnard, CA facility. We used a high-tech ARPAC shrink wrapping machine in conjunction with a heat tunnel to affix specialty "registered" shrink film to the Variety Packs. This film must be applied so that the custom artwork and nutrition information is visible on all cartons. The Variety Packs shown in these videos were then sent to large retailers like Costco across the US west coast. Other videos will soon be posted so subscribe and see for yourself!
